Also on February 21 there will be a special cake bake stall at the coffee morning, with the proceeds going to UNICEF to help in their work with refugee children.

The chapel, as usual, will be open for private prayer during this time.

The Sunday morning worship was led by Mr Martyn Mellodew from Scarborough. Steward was Liz Aconley who also read the Old Testament lesson. The New Testament lesson from John’s Gospel about Jesus as the lamb of God was read by Jean Brown and was also the subject of Martyn’s sermon. Organist was Chris Cade and Christine Fenwick operated the audio visual.

After worship we enjoyed coffee together in the hall and see the magnificent temple that the children had made as they begin looking at the story of the boy Jesus in the temple.

The Holy Communion service next Sunday at 10.30am will be led by the Rev Bruce Russell and all are invited.
