RAffle for extrA-ordinAry OrdnAnCe Art
A multi-piece artwork made from an Ordnance Survey map is being raffled in aid of Scarborough RNLI. Entitled All Along the Coast, it was produced by Helen Ventress. She was one of 87 artists who submitted work for an exhibition at the Untangled Threads gallery at 5 Belle Vue Parade. The artists were sent maps supplied by Ordnance Survey and asked to come up with something arty. The gallery is run by another Helen, mixed-media artist Helen Birmingham, who is pictured with the raffle prize. The raffle will be drawn on Sunday. Tickets cost £1 and can be bought during gallery opening hours, 2-6pm Thursday to Sunday.
