Cash raised at charity walk

A sponsored walk has raised almost £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Care. The event, on Sunday, was a thank you to the charity which has supported Eastfield resident Alex Pinchon, 81, who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in November. Around 20 people walked from the Spa to North Bay to raise the funds. Organiser, Maragret Byrne, 58, said: “We are ecstatic to raise this amount of money.”
