Pupils’ efforts to help others abroad

-

Youngsters at East Ayton Primary School have been busy raising money for Wateraid, a charity which helps provide clean water for people in developing countries. Children in Class 3 took part in a sponsored walk around the school playing field and playground while carrying buckets of water. The intention was for the children to gain a small understanding of how difficult it is for so many children in the world, and to appreciate all that they have. The school also hosted a bake sake with home-made buns and cakes. The youngsters also watched a video to show how cheap, simple water pumps can transform the lives of many around the world.
