Club President, Jonathan Knight said : “Rotary, along with its partners, has reduced polio cases by 99.9% globally since the first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979.

“Rotarians have helped immunise more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries and all the proceeds raised from this evening will go towards the worldwide fight to end polio,” he added.

Rotary’s World Polio Day this year is on 24October, 2017 and looks ahead to ending the disease for good.

The evening is kindly being sponsored by Peace of Mind Financial Solutions Ltd.
