1. A cheque for £279 was handed to Scarborough’s Riding for the Disabled representative Sarah Morley by Inner Wheel district chairman Jennifer Angus from club donations across Yorkshire. Scarborough Anglers Social Club raised £1,096.79 for Martin House Children’s Hospice. The money was raised in memory of club president Mick Hillaby, who organisers said was “sadly missed but not forgotten”. Scarborough Hospitality Association’s annual Dinner Dance, was attended by mayors from Scarborough, Filey, Whitby and Bridlington. It raised £727.63 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
