Jacksons to bring their ABCs to the OAT this summer

Legendary soul pop group The Jacksons will play Scarboroug­h Open Air Theatre this summer as they celebrate an incredible 50 hit-making years.

Originally formed as The Jackson 5, the group sold more than 200 million records during their time with the legendary Motown labelwhich­includedsu­chglobal hits as I Want You Back, ABC, The Love You Save and I’ll Be There.

The Jacksons will bring all their hits to Scarboroug­h Open Air Theatre on Saturday June 17 for a concert at Europe’s largest open air theatre.

Signing their first record deal in 1967, the group, with the late Michael Jackson, made history in 1970 as the first recording act whose first four singles reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Tito Jackson: “We had the privilege of performing for The Queen when we first came to the UK in 1972 and we’re always excited to return.

“The British audiences love their music and we can’t wait to share ours with them when we bring our show to Scarboroug­h this summer.”

Meanwhile, the world’s most successful musical theatre group Collabro will be the support act for Cliff Richard on his nationwide Just Fabulous Rock ‘n’ Roll tour this summer.

Cliff will be performing in Scarboroug­h on Thursday June 29.
