Media student’s all or nothing cash appeal for movie

-

A media student from Filey is making an ‘all or nothing’ appeal to our readers to help with her graduation film – and has the backing of a friend working on a follow-up to the smash hit spy action comedy movie Kingsman.

Former St Augustine’s student Jennifer Pinchbeck is producing and directing the video All Saints 1898 – a short film about gender politics.

She has enlisted the help of her friend Finley Duncan, who works in London in a Post production house and is currently working on Kingsman 2. The story, set in a mental asylum, starts with a sympathetic female vampire who refuses to do the bidding of her male captor and suppresses her power.

Jennifer’s crowd-funding target needs to hit £500 by April 1 or she receives no donation back.

The cash would go towards petrol money for shooting days for a handful of cars to travel to Newcastle and back for a week, as well as rehearsals for the actresses and actors and the food for them on set. The money will also go towards set design and costumes as well.

Jennifer, who is a thirdyear Broadcast Media Production student at Teesside University, said: “I am looking for support from my local area to see if they can help me with not only my graduation film but my future career, as this film will be what my future employers will look at.”

From there, she will go on to the Met Film School in London to study a Masters in Cinematography. Visit http:// www.crowdfunder.co.uk/find and search for All Saints 1898.
