Puzzling day solving the ‘shelfie’ snaps

-

World Book Day this year celebrated its 20th anniversary with celebrations all over country.

One of the ways in which Ryedale School chose to celebrate this year was through a competition called ‘Whose is this Shelfie?’.

Students were given the task of matching the teacher to the picture of their bookshelf (or ‘shelfie’) that was displayed in the school corridors.

Another popular activity held during form time was a quizaboutpopularchildren’s books in the week leading up to World Book Day.

The combined knowledge of every house was set to a very high standard and all the students learned something interesting going into their first lesson.

Overall this was a great way for students to celebrate books, reading and World Book Day.
