Yorkshire Coast Homes scoops prestigious award
Yorkshire Coast Homes (YCH) has re-established its position as the torch-bearer for Ethnicity, Diversity and Inclusion principles within the UK’s Housing Sector. The Scarborough-based housing association has been judged the Housing Provider of the Year, for the second year in succession, at the prestigious National Centre for Diversity Grand Awards, which took place in Leeds.
The NCFD mission is to advance equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) to ensure fairness for all.
Shaun Tymon, Yorkshire Coast Homes Chief Executive, said: “EDI principles lie at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is to help create an inclusive environment where everyone has the chance to access life improving options and opportunities within communities that are thriving, strong and sustainable. “Hopefully we can influence and inspire other organisa- tions to share this view and adopt the EDI initiatives that will help to achieve our objective. Yorkshire Coast Homes was the first organisation to gain the National Centre for Diversity’s Leaders in Diversity accreditation and all our staff members work very hard every day to maintain it.”
