Scarborough has a fantastic range of tartists to discover, from printmakers and painters, to sculptors, textile artists, glassmakers and a land artist.
Painters include Adam King, who creates colourful and playful portraits, on show at his Gladstone Lane studio and Tina Mammoser, whose abstract paintings capture the light and colour of the coastline. Also at Woodend, Angela Chalmers uses camera-less photographic techniques to produce haunting images of plants and flowers. Architectural glassmaker Rachel Welford also takes inspiration from nature to create translucent artworks that constantly fluctuate with the changing light.
