Big Toddle gives a big boost to Barnados

Little fundraisers at Happy Jays nursery in Eastfield took part in The Big Toddle to raise cash for Barnados. Laura Rudlinton, deputy manager, said: “In small groups they completed a one-mile walk around the community, discussing what they could see along the way. They wore bright colours, had their faces painted and also took balloons on the walk. They did brilliantly and I am very proud of them all. We have managed to raise a total so far of £997.50. We still have some sponsor money to be returned so we are hoping to reach the £1,000 mark. This is the largest amount we as a nursery have ever raised and we are very proud of this achievement.” Picture by Richard Ponter 173312
