Next stage in theatre’s half-a-mil­lion re­fur­bish­ment

The cur­tain has come down – tem­po­rar­ily – at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scar­bor­ough as it pre­pares for the next stage in its de­vel­op­ment. The venue is un­der go­ing a £561,000 ‘Trans­form’ project, funded by £419,222 from Arts Coun­cil Eng­land, and by do­na­tions from the pub­lic. Im­r­pove­ments in­clude a new foyer, box of­fice and bet­ter light­ing for the Round. The box of­fice has moved to the Out­Reach space in North­way un­til the work is com­pleted.
