Parish. It was noted that Cllr Morgan had emailed all councillors with an update on his investigations regarding siting a cycle rack at Station Square. It was also noted that four picnic tables had recently appeared on the grass opposite the tea rooms. Council remained averse to the purchase or siting of a cycle rack near the tea rooms. It was agreed clerk to contact Scarborough Borough Council regarding the possibility of a cycle rack being located near the railway platform and in Cllr Morgan’s absence it was agreed to defer any decision to a future meeting. Cllr Terry reported problems with an overhanging tree opposite Wellfield, a large pothole on Bent Rigg Lane, and restricted visibility at Rudda Lane junction. Cllr James commented on poor visibility due to vegetation when emerging from Prior Wath Road. It was agreed all to be passed to County Highways by the clerk for action.

Cllr Normington reported that the width of the pavement on Raven Hall Road was down to less than a foot in some places due to overhanging plants (agreed clerk to pass to County Highways for action).

The clerk read an email from the treasurer of the church council who confirmed that Ravenscar Parochial Church Council was responsible for maintaining the churchyards at Staintondale and Ravenscar. On that basis, council approved the cheque for signature.
