Boy band 5ive headline party in park

Saturday August 29 Visitors to the theme park are invited to stay for Party in the Park – the venue’s largest ever event.

Get ready to travel back in time, reliving a sensationa­l decade of British pop with guests including founder member of A1, Paul Marazzi, rap and R’n’B Blazin’ Squad, Damage, plus chart toppers 5IVE, who will be headlining the bill.

The fun starts at 6pm with a Farewell Show starring the park’s Mia and Mylo meerkats for younger guests. Then acrobats, the Bongo Warriors, will deliver a 15-minute display.

More than two-and-a halfhours of live music starts with the Rob-B-Williams tribute. The evening will step up a gear as Paul Marazzi takes over the stage with all seven members of his band. Delivering a mix of classic A1 hits, unique covers and new material.Then it’s Blazin’ Squad’s turn to rock the Flamingo Land crowd. Damage will then be set to deliver one of their amazing live performanc­es.

At 8.45pm one of the most successful Boybands in UK history, 5IVE take to the stage. They had 11 top ten singles and three number ones in the U. Now, after their hugely successful return as part of ITV’s The Big Reunion, they’re back.

Admission to Party in The Park is free for day visitors, season pass holders and Holiday Village guests. Tickets at £10 are now available online, allowing entry from 5pm.

Every Saturday until August 29 Songs from Mamma Mia, Bugsy Malone and We Will Rock You feature in this show featuring members of Rowlies Academy of Dance.

There is also a cameo from Scarboroug­h Musicals director Tim Tubbs has Miss Trunchbull in a Matilda medley.
