Britain’s Got Talent auditions made for a ‘fantastic’ day
Aspiring entertainers of all ages gathered in Scarborough over the weekend to audition for the chance of appearing on next year’s Britain’s Got Talent.
On Sunday October 25, researchers f rom the production team of the hugely popular show, Britain’s Got Ta l e nt c a me t o Fa l s g r ave Community Resource Centre.
Singers, musicians, comedians, dancers and many other performances tried to wow the researchers with the hope of performing in front of the BGT including Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
The community also turned out to watch and support the performers with an estimated 150 to 200 people coming along.
The “fantastic” event was busy all afternoon with acts auditioning every five minutes between 2pm and 5pm.
Before the event, community association services manager, Debbie Brown, said: “We are hoping to take over the running of the Falsgrave Community Resource Centre from the council late next year and the Britain’s Got Talent auditions are the first event we are running at the centre independent of the council.
“We are really looking forward to seeing the talent that the Scarborough community has to offer.”
And Scarborough didn’t disappoint.
People of Scarborough will be hoping that auditions held at the centre will appear before the panel of judges.
The successful applicants will be contacted by February.
The auditions were hosted by the Edgehill Community Association, which is delighted that Simon Cowell’s team made the visit to Scarborough.
