Hobnobs too strong for Trinity youngsters
SCARBOROUGH FLOORING DIVISION TWO TRINITY 3 HOBNOBS 7 A good team effort from Hobnobs against a spirited Trinity side.
Derek Harris, Stuart Robinson and Allan Thurling all won braces with Harris and Thurling also taking the doubles.
Best game of the night saw Moke Warburton take the scalp of Stuart Robinson 119, 8-11, 14-12, 9-11, 11-6.
Both players were involved in lengthy backhand rallies which is fast becoming the main part of Warburton’s at- tacking play.
The battle of the rubbers was won by John Warburton over Harris.
Matty Lowe scored Trinity’s other point by defeating Thurling in four sets.

Both had lost to Allistair Hutchinson who had a close duel with Swindell before losing 4-11, 18-20, 12-10, 12-14.

Whitby’s, Barry Davies, Jon Parkinson and Graham Cripps all scored trebles with only Davies being tested by going to five sets against Chris Smith.

Guy Hutchinson had an off night by l osing t wo singles.
Nigel Clapham took all his rubbers in four sets and partnered Hutchinson to win the doubles.
