The North Riding spring meeting will be on April 5 and Hambleton Forum, Northallerton.
The Candlelighters brochure was passed round for anyone interested in buying Christmas cards etc, so a bulk order could be made.
Mrs Singleton then introduced Mr David Swann a singer/songwriter. He writes his own songs and plays the guitar and ukelele. He delighted the meeting with seven songs and before each one he explained the inspiration for them, they were all influenced by what he saw around him in this local area, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Pickering, Harrogate, his own family tree and some songs from shows that inspired him to write a Yorkshire version. There was audience participation and members joined in the chorus and provided appropriate noises. It was a very entertaining and enjoyable afternoon.
Mrs Singleton gave a vote of thanks. Tea and scones were served and a raffle took place.
The next meeting is on November 14 with Mary Kep and her travels in Nepal, all are welcome.
