Make a will and help raise funds for your local hospice

-

Saint Catherine’s annual Make a Will Week campaign will return this April. The campaign aims to prompt people into making the first steps to writing a will or updating their existing one.

It is important that your will is revised every five years and/or after life-changing events such as marriage having a child or divorce.

A number of local solicitors have kindly agreed to give their time and expertise for free to support Make a Will Week. The solicitors will happily meet with you to take your instructions for a simple will during this week and then draft a professional will in accordance with those instructions.

They will also meet with you again for your will to be signed by the end of May 2017.

The solicitors would expect in return, a donation to Saint Catherine’s. The suggested minimum is £125 per single will and £200 per matching pair. This is payable at the time you sign your will to the solicitor and they will forward the donation to the hospice.

All you need to do if you would like to take part is to contact one of the participating solicitors as soon as possible, to make an appointment during the week commencing Monday April 24.

Please mention Saint Catherine’s Make a Will Week at the time of making your appointment. The full list of solicitors and more information can be found on www.saintcatherines.org.uk

St Catherine’s fundraiser Debbie Kay said:‘‘We are always very grateful for the continued support of the local solicitors.

“This offer is a way for our supporter’s to help themselves to valuable advice whilE at the same time raising vital funds for patient care.’’ WILLS AND WAYS: Saint Catherine’s staff (back) Chloe Swift, Helen Bedford, Debbie King, Jamie Kirby and (front) Lucy Tymon, Janet Harsley, Carol Colley.
