Krafts slice through Handicap rivals

A total of 42 club members competed in the second race of the Summer Handicap series, which was held on a testing trail course at Reasty Top.

The first three finishers on handicap were respective­ly, Liz Kraft, Mel Day and Alan Whelan.

The three fastest men were James Kraft, followed by Steve Baldwin and Alan Whelan.

The three fastest women were Katie Rawnsley, followed by Sue Haslam and Emma Simmons.

After two races, Phil Markham leads on handicap followed by Whelan and Dave Baldwin in joint second.

By time order male points, Sean Kelly leads Dave Baldwin and Markham.

The joint female points leaders are Katie Rawnsley and Sue Haslam with Michelle Fletcher third highest.

Nine club members competed in the latest Sewerby Parkrun. Ciara Harper was first for the club in 27th female overall and second 11-14 Girl.

Brain Rutt was next in 66th male and second Over-55 and was followed by Andrew Gill 99th.

Linda Hinchliffe led all the other females in 35th and was followed by Sophie Vaughan 51st, Melanie Day 73rd, Wendy Pattison 79th, Sarah Gilbert 86th and a PB, then Liz Cremer in 91st

Twelve club members competed in the latest Dalby Forest Parkrun. Jon Wardley finished seventh overall of 220.

Sue Haslam was next and an impressive second female overall of 114 and the first Over-60 with a PB.

Other men: Mark May 25th and 2nd Over-50, Glen Shelton 76th and Simon Valente 93rd.

Other women: Lorraine Hewit 10th and 2nd Over-40, Lesley Bayes 41st and 1st Over-65 with a PB, Jemma Casson 41st, Jill Grinstead 5oth and 1st Over-55 with a PB, Alison Hornsby 63rd, Heather Westron 81st and Alison Wiles 84th
