Big celebrations for Amelia’s Chocolate official opening

Amelia’s Chocolate has officially opened on Aberdeen Walk. The new chocolate shop and cafe, in the old Scarborough Evening News office, was officially launched on Saturday, with mayor Cllr Joe Plant cutting the ribbon. Owner Amelia Forrest, who received a heart transplant aged just 15, first opened her chocolate shop on Victoria Road in 2013. Only five years later, Amelia decided it was time to expand her business. She said: “It’s been a long journey but my dream has always been to open a cafe in the town centre so when our lease came to an end we started looking for other premises and then we got this. Touch wood, with the support of the people of Scarborough it’s going to work.”
