SJT wins at night at the casino
Fundraiser for the theatre’s Outreach charity programme includes auction and entertainment

Peter Wilkinson, chairman of the Scarborough Business Ambassadors, said: “We are extremely pleased to be supporting the theatre to help its community engagement activity with students and organisations.
“It has had the most successful two years and we are pleased to help extend its community programme, and to be working in conjunction with the Opera House Casino.”
Janet Deacon, borough council tourism manager and area director of Welcome to Yorkshire, who has organised the event with Business Ambassadors director Jo Thompson, said: “The SJT is an amazing venue and its work to promote culture on the coast is outstanding. The Outreach Programme works with, in and for the community, encouraging people to engage with the cul- ture through projects, courses, classes and work experience providing access to all.
“I would really like to thank all the kind businesses who have supported this event through donation of prizes to raise money for this valuable facility.”
Steve Mosley, Opera House Casino managing director, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to show our support for the Outreach Programme in partnership with the Stephen Joseph Theatre and other businesses and associations.
“It will be a spectacular night, for a great cause.”
