Crawford’s cracking hat-trick helps Filey Holt shine in the rain
Kobi Crawford (pictured) fired a sublime hat-trick as Filey Holt Under-10s weathered atrocious conditions to storm home against Cayton in their Scarborough Minor League encounter on Sunday.
Jay Marsh also added a brace to his impressive season’ s tally in a fantastic team performance.
In a competitive first half Austin Thompson was in imperious form to repell the visitors and Logan Tuck was outstanding providing assists for all his team’s first half goals as Filey went into the break 3-1 up.
In the second half Lewis Cammish shone setting up McLean Bell with a pinpoint cross before coolly slotting into the roof of the net for a goal himself.
Thomas Richardson’s sublime through-ball found Oscar Jennison whose saved shot was slotted home by Robert Painter-Wardell.
Millie Craven and Jake Taylor provided a fantastic rear guard display as Cayton rallied late but the Filey Holt side ran out deserved winners.
