Dial A Ride vehicles zapped by system to keep people protected

-

Scarborough-based community transport charity Dial A Ride has implemented a high-tech solution to help sanitise its wheelchair-accessible vehicles.

Thanks to funding from North Yorkshire County Council’s Stronger Communities fund, The Clothworkers Foundation and Tesco Bags of Help, the charity has purchased a specialised sanitising system.

The Zapptiser system uses a high pressure mist spray to quickly and effectively sanitise the inside of vehicles.

A Dial A Ride spokesman said: “This is just one of the additional cleaning measures we have put in place along with the use of PPE for our drivers and passenger assistants.

“Dial A Ride has continued to operate during the past three months and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us.”
