Celebrating some amazing people

Mike Padgham, Chair of the Independent Care Group, said: “I applaud The Scarborough News for recognising and celebrating the amazing people who have fought on the frontline against coronavirus.

“Those working for social care and the NHS in particular have made a heroic effort in the hardest of times.

“I could not be more proud of my own staff and all those caring for the most vulnerable.

“We must also thank those others who have worked throughout this pandemic – the bus and delivery drivers, the refuse collectors, those in supermarkets, the emergency services and all those other key workers, as well as all the volunteers, fundraisers and PPE makers. I salute you all.”
