FREE scone offer at Scarborough Cooplands cafes

-

Cooplands Bakery has cut prices to pass on the savings from the temporary VAT reduction to their customers, which has seen prices fall across their hot takeaway food and drinks as well as in their sit-in cafés.

The 135-year old business has 12 cafés named either Secret Garden or Orchard cafés, which are all eligible for the VAT reduction as announced by Chancellor Rishi Sunak.

Although, the choice to pass these savings onto customers is optional, Cooplands has vowed to lower their prices across its entire menu.

Cooplands will also be extending the savings to their 162 bakery shops and across their fleet of 36 Food to Go Vans on hot takeaway food and hot drinks

Belinda Youngs, Cooplands chief executive, said “We are very happy to welcome back our café customers.”

“We feel it is our responsibility to pass on these savings for the next six months to our customers both in cafes, bakery shops and on our Food to Go Vans.

We have been really pleased to support our communities with many of our shops open over the past three and a half months and now are able to support customers further with lower prices on great quality food in a safe environment.

All of Cooplands’ café will also be taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme in August, which will see diners being able to benefit from a 50 per cent discount applied to meals from Monday to Wednesday throughout the month, with a maximum discount of £10 per head.

Cooplands’ cafés are now open. Cooplands kept 109 shops open throughout the lockdown. All shops are now open. Safety measures are in place at all outlets.
