The Natural History Museum
If you feel your biology knowledge isn’t ready for your next home-schooling lesson, The Natural History museum is here to help. Its virtual tour is second to none and feels as close to a field trip as you can get from the sofa. Via Google Arts and Culture you can explore some 300,000 specimens. They have also come up with an array of activities, from a make your own Dippy the Diplodocus skull to a 360° loch-side walk at Knapdale, home to Scotland’s beaver population. For young scientists the Nature Live sessions are a must. Every Tuesday and Friday they offer the opportunity for online discussions with scientists working with the museum. www.nhm.ac.uk
