New cancer test attracts fresh funds
SCOTTISH Equity Partners (SEP) and Cambridge Innovative Capital (CIC) have invested a total of £5.25 million into Abcodia, a company that has created a new ovarian cancer screening technology.
Abcodia said the extra funding – which is not being broken down between the two investors – would allow the ROCA test to be launched in the US and UK in 2015, as well as the establishment of an American presence.
SEP and CIC join existing investors in the project.
