Cup joy on hold as Glen focus on points

GLEN Urquhart will have to put the celebratio­ns for their second trophy behind them as they fight to climb away from the bottom end of shinty’s Premiershi­p, writes Kenneth Stephen.

But they are back to league business today against Kinlochshi­el and their Premiershi­p account needs attention, with more focus lately on the cups.

“We need to get away from the relegation area,” said comanager Billy Maclean. “Five points from six matches means we need to rack up more as we are currently sitting third bottom of the table. Kinlochshi­el are also a very good side so we will have to be at our best.”

Glen’s 3-1 victory last weekend brought the second trophy of their 130-year existence. Whether they can maintain a run of league form is the key question.
