Universe on Earth: Former astronaut drops in on to visit cosmic landscape artwork

Former astronaut Dr Jeffrey Hoffman (right) on a visit to Crawick Multiverse, a landscape artwork inspired by astronomy and cosmology near Sanquhar in Dumfries and Galloway, has called for humanity to take better care of “precious” Earth. The former open cast coal mine was transformed into a visitor attraction by landscape artist Charles Jencks (left), funded by the Duke of Buccleuch.
