Diver rescued from boat in Sound of Mull

A diver had to be rescued from a boat in the Sound of Mull after falling ill yesterday.

Oban RNLI launched at around 1am yesterday in order to meet a 40ft motorboat near Loch Aline.

It is believed the man’s health problems were related to diving.

The volunteer lifeboat crew transported to patient to a waiting ambulance.

Oban lifeboat was readied for service again by 3:15am.

The Sound of Mull lies between the Inner Hebridean island of Mull and mainland Scotland.
