Explosives found on Iraqi man
A 48-year-old Iraqi man has been arrested on charges of possessing explosives in Poland.
The arrest on Sunday in Lodz took place just days before Pope Francis comes to Poland to meet hundreds of thousands of young people from around the globe for celebrations of the World Youth Day.
Poland’s interior minister Mariusz Blaszczak said the gathering tomorrow will be safe. Beata Marczak, spokeswoman for prosecutors in Lodz said “small amounts of explosives” were found on the man. He could face up to eight years in prison if convicted on charges of illegal possession of explosives.
