Motorcycle crash death couple are named by police

A couple killed in a motorcycle accident in Midlothian have been named by police as Charles Howden and Fiona Stanley from Newtongrange.

They died after their Triumph Bonneville with sidecar was struck by a BMW on the A6094 at Rosewell on Thursday night.

Their family said: “Their kindness to others was legendary. They will long be remembered for the laughter they brought into our lives and the love they had for their friends, for their family and most of all the love they had for each other.”
