Lifeboat rescues diveers off Berwick coast

Two lifeboats were called to the aid of a dive rib off St Abbs on Saturday.

The crew from Eyemouth RNLI attended the incident after the boat issued a “pan pan” alert to say it had broken down with four divers on board.

The divers were rescued by local dive charter vessels, but after reaching the shore one was suspected of suffering from the “bends” and a paramedic was transferred from the lifeboat to attend to him.
