New tram interchang­e unveiled

Edinburgh’s long-delayed tram-train interchang­e was revealed yesterday as transport minister Humza Yousaf visited the station days before its completion.

The £41 million complex beside the Gogar roundabout is due to see passengers from December when trains and trams stop there for the first time.

Constructi­on started in January last year. Network Rail said in 2009, when plans for the project were announced, that it “aspired” to have it open in 2011.
