New tram interchange unveiled
Edinburgh’s long-delayed tram-train interchange was revealed yesterday as transport minister Humza Yousaf visited the station days before its completion.
The £41 million complex beside the Gogar roundabout is due to see passengers from December when trains and trams stop there for the first time.
Construction started in January last year. Network Rail said in 2009, when plans for the project were announced, that it “aspired” to have it open in 2011.
Mr Yousaf said the “exciting” development was “a great example of how the Scottish Government is investing to make public transport more accessible and attractive”. 0 Humza Yousaf has welcomed the development
