AA reverses into profit

The AA motoring organisation has returned to the black, making a £48 million profit in the first half of 2016 after a loss of £69m in the same period last year.

The breakdown business said paid personal members grew in every month in the second quarter to 3.3 million, reversing a general trend of falling numbers.
