Arrest over death of man in disturbance

A man has been arrested after the death of a 52-yearold found injured following a disturbance.

John Smith was found critically injured at Misk Knowes in Stevenston, North Ayrshire, on Saturday 8 October.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he died on Tuesday 11 October.

A 30-year-old man also found badly injured at the property was treated at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock and released.

Police said a 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
