Raith Rovers Tale of the unexpected

Raith Rovers romping to victory over Falkirk and rattling in four goals in the process was one of the more eye-opening results of the SPFL weekend. Okay, in terms of unexpected plot developments, it wasn’t exactly up there with Brad Pitt discovering what was in his parcel in Seven, or Bruce Willis realising why his wife was being a bit stand-offish in The Sixth Sense ,butit was a surprise nonetheless.

Mark Stewart had commented before the match that he was champing at the bit to start, and he justified that sentiment with two goals and an assist in a bravura performance. The result was a boost for the fans, and, perhaps more importantly, a fillip to the players’ confidence, as they approach a daunting fixture list in the next few weeks. Shaughan Mcguigan
