The hatred and divisions between the two peoples, one Christian and European, the other Muslim and Middle Eastern, may be consigned to the history books and the Un-patrolled line which divides them may go and free movement return.

Here in the little island of Great Britain, a political party exists, hard though it may be to believe, whose sole aim is to achieve the sort of division here which Cypriots are hoping to consign to the dustbin of history.

Having had a democratic vote to keep Scotland in the UK, with no qualificat­ions of any kind and a significan­t majority, we still find our economy trailing behind the rest of the UK because we have a party of division running the Scottish Government.

They hope to divide our island, which will create a frontier, just like the one in Cyprus.

It is time Scotland took a leaf from Cyprus’s book and consigned our separatist­s to the history books.

1) Improving luggage and passenger handling as the frequent delays are unacceptab­le for such a small airport.

2) Abandoning the unwelcome £2 drop-off charge.
