Murrayfield House is a beautiful Grade A Georgian town house which has been sympathetically converted and extended to provide residential, nursing and specialist care to elderly ladies and gentlemen. Our experienced Home Manager Mandy, leads a team of professional nurses and dedicated carers to ensure kindness is at the heart of everything they do. It’s the team, many of whom have been at Murrayfield House for a number of years, who make Murrayfield House such a special place to live. What kindness means to Mandy; “I believe it is the small things that make a big difference; a smile, a hug or just a reassuring word, these are the things that make people feel cared for and special.” Mandy is a Registered Nurse with over thirty years’ experience in providing care and support to older people; She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents. The team at Murrayfield House deliver exceptional standards in care and daily living to older people; this was recently recognised by the Care Inspectorate who following their inspection of the home, awarded it “Very Good” in all areas. Providing quality care is just part of the story; Murrayfield House is an important part of its community; within the home there is a café which welcomes many local visitors and is often used to host community events; there is also a physiotherapist based within the house who serves the wider community and is on hand for Residents of Murrayfield House by private arrangement. Close links with local schools and groups brings the community into the home; Residents often delight in visits from the local primary school, especially during national celebrations, Easter and the festive period.
