Deaths of man and woman among four being investigated

Investigations have been launched into four deaths across Scotland at the weekend, including a man and a woman at a house in Dundee.
A man has been detained following the deaths of a 32-year-old man and 43-yearold woman in the Drumlanrig Drive area of the city.
A Police Scotland spokesman said a 42-year-old man had been charged in what they described as a “contained” and “isolated” incident, and inquires were ongoing.
Detective Chief Inspector Keith Hardie, from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “There will be a strong police presence in the area while our investigation continues and I would like to thank the local community in advance for their patience.
“There has been no threat to the wider public at any stage.”
Meanwhile, a 36-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the death of a man, named as Douglas Anderson, in Perth.
Officerswerecalledtoaproperty in the Dunnock Park area following reports of the death in the early hours of Saturday. Scottish Ambulance Service staff also attended and the 39-year-old was pronounced dead a short time later.
The local woman who has been charged is expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Monday.
Police said Mr Anderson’s family did not want to make a statement and had requested privacy “at a very difficult time”.
Detective Inspector Gary Winter said: “I would like to thank the local community for their patience while extensive inquiries have been carried out in the area, and for all information provided to Police.”
Inathirdincident,amanwas found dead at a house in Ren- frewshire with “significant injuries”.
The 42-year-old’s body was found by police at a property in Greenend Avenue, Johnstone, at about 10:45am on Saturday.
Officers believe there was a disturbance at the house earlier that day and are now treating the death as “suspicious”.
Detective Inspector Mark Henderson, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “The 42-yearold man was found with significant injuries and as such extensive police enquiries are ongoing. We believe that there was a disturbance at the house around 12.50am on Saturday February 25 when a person or persons came to the door.”
