#MARINEA

Royal Marine Alexander Blackman, aka “Marine A”, had his conviction for killing a Taleban fighter while on duty in Afghanistan downgraded from murder to manslaughter. @Lalasyeda fumed: “It’s disgusting how #Marinea got away with murder. Even though the Taleban is evil, that doesn’t mean you get to violate human rights.” @woodythemover retorted: “Anyone can judge the actions of #Marinea from an armchair, unless you have experienced what he did, you are unqualified to comment!” @spadetownboy offered: “Acknowledging you’ve broken the Geneva Convention suggests one is aware of their actions and should accept responsibility for them.” @Bensloan85 warned: “Before anyone shouts off that #Marinea is a murderer, walk a tour of duty in his footsteps in Afghanistan.”

#PRINCEWILLIAM

The second in line to the throne was photographed on a boys-only skiing holiday. @rshields646 snorted: “Surprised people are shocked re #Princewilliam and his holiday antics. That’s all the royals do – useless bunch of tiarawearing scroungers.” @x_paigeey pleaded: “Give Prince William a break, he’s going to be king someday, let him have some fun while he can!” @Chginge shrugged: “Why should we care what’s going on in Prince William’s private life? It’s his PRIVATE LIFE, leave him be, it was the same with Harry :(( ” @daniel_foulkes ruminated: “Why are people actually getting their backs up about Prince William going on a skiing holiday & getting drunk? He is not in power, chill.”

#GROWINGUPCATHOLIC

The less than penitent life of young Catholics was being widely discussed. @Fleggermcfleg proferred: “Trying to think of an obscure sin for confession so the priest doesn’t feel like he’s wasting his time” @Janetjealousy intoned: “‘May the Force be with you’ And ‘also with you’.” @Jillianfoley_ admitted: “Going to confession just to lie to the priest’s face about sins you didn’t commit because ur scared to say the real ones.” @Mauraoneill1 remembered: “Saying ‘Thanks be to God’ with real meaning when the priest says ‘The mass is ended, go in peace’ ”
