A Glasgow-based recruiter has appointed a new finance team for Loganair as the airline looks to plough major investment into its expansion.

HR Consultancy said the department at the Scottish national airline covers roles from senior qualified accountants to transactional finance support specialists, operating from Loganair’s base near Glasgow Airport.

The team will be led by finance director David Dishon, who said: “We’re bolstering our finance team to support the airline as it enters into a new phase of operations.”

The recruitment firm also said Loganair, which is captained by Jonathan Hinkles, recently broke away from a franchise agreement to operate in its own right. Dishon added: “This is an exciting stage in our 55-year history and with less than five months until Loganair is flying in its own right, we’re focusing on many aspects of the business to prepare for the transition.”

Highlighted new hires include risk and control manager Scott Peterson, who has moved from Greenpeace based in the Netherlands, while Peter Howard, formerly of Wylie & Bissett, has joined as revenue accountant, and Aleksandra Kawka from Caledonian Sleeper has been hired as finance business partner.

Barry Lee, commercial director at HR Consultancy, led the hiring process and said Loganair has “exciting and ambitious plans for growth over the coming years”. 0 Loganair is led by managing director Jonathan Hinkles
