Hopkins leaving LBC ‘immediately’

Broadcaster Katie Hopkins is leaving her presenting role at LBC “immediately”, the radio station said. The move came after Ms Hopkins caused outrage this week when she called in a tweet for a “final solution” following the terrorist attack in Manchester.

Ms Hopkins’s now-deleted tweet read: “22 dead – number rising. Schofield. Don’t you even dare. Do not be a part of the problem. We need a final solution #Machester [sic].”

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they had received complaints about the tweet.
