Two die after A76 two-vehicle crash

A man and a woman have died following a road crash near Sanquhar.

At around 1:15pm yesterday, police were called to a road accident involving two vehicles on the A76.

Emergency services attended, but a man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene. A full investigation will take place into the cause of the crash, police said.
