Driver injured in early morning hit-and-run

Police are searching for a car involved in a hit-andrun crash that left a driver in hospital.

The crash happened on the A92 in Fife at about 4:30am on Monday when a grey Citroen Xsara collided with a white vehicle.

The driver of the Citroen suffered a back injury and was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment but the white car left the scene before emergency services arrived.

Inspector Ian Flynn said: “A man was injured in this collision and we would like to hear from anyone who saw it and who has informatio­n that can assist us.”
