Clegg’s insecurity
I remember some very lowball tactics in the EU referendum campaign, but the misjudged, inaccurate and quite frankly mistimed grossly offensive comments by Nick Clegg regarding the Schengen Infor- mation Systems database, and Britain potentially losing access to that, post-brexit, is the worst scaremongering tactic I have ever seen.
This came less than a week after the Manchester terrorist attacks, where fear and emotion are still raw.
When faced with a common enemy, would the EU be so churlish as to stop cooperation and sharing information? Utter nonsense.
Exchange of data will always happen in the interest of all. Have the Liberal Democrats run out of political ideas? If so, they seem to use the security card which is a sign of desperation.
Nick Clegg should be ashamed of himself.
