Eurozone inflation falls back in May

Inflation across the eurozone has fallen to its lowest level this year.

Eurostat, the EU’S statistics agency, said that inflation fell to 1.4 per cent across the 19-country eurozone in the year to May, down from 1.9 per cent the previous month. May’s rate is the lowest since December 2016.
