Police inquiry into attempted murder

A man was attacked by a group of men armed with knives in an incident which police are treating as attempted murder.

At around 10:25pm on Wednesday, a 40-year-old man was walking in Hillend Road, Lambhill, Glasgow, when men armed with knives got out of a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf and assaulted him. Following this incident, the man made his way to Eriboll Crescent where he was deliberately driven at by the same car. Emergency services arrived and the man was taken to hospital.
