Wind farm appeal bid refused

An appeal aimed at allowing a wind farm development to go ahead has been rejected.

Local political figures have welcomed news that the Scottish Government reporter has refused a bid by the developers behind the proposed Cnoc an Eas windfarm, near Drumnadrochit. Kate Forbes MSP held a public meeting in Drumnadrochit last year to gauge local opinion, and the vast majority who attended that event were opposed to the development. The Cnoc an Eas site is located on the north side of Glen Urquhart, above Loch Meikle.
